This 89,000-acre lake on the Red River is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the southwest. It is recognized as one of the top fishing lakes in the country and also offers boating, water skiing, windsurfing, hiking, camping and excellent sailing due to the lake's size, depth and miles of sailing shoreline. In addition, several golf courses are available around Lake Texoma, and the lake area includes two wildlife refuges, two state parks, 26 resorts and hundreds of campgrounds.
